The 1000th RWFA fuel assembly for VVER-10000 fabricated by Westinghouse company (USA) will be delivered to South Ukraine NPP as part of the Reload Batch, as informed by the Swedish division of Westinghouse company, Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB (Vasteras, Kingdom of Sweden).
SE NNEGC “Energoatom” implements the Complex (Consolidated) Safety Upgrade Program of Power Units of Nuclear Power Plants (CCSUP) (CMU Ordinance No1270 on 07.12.2011) with the purpose of further steady improvement of nuclear safety, ensuring efficient and reliable performance in the energy branch, bringing safety of Ukrainian nuclear power plants to the level that meets international requirements to nuclear safety and environmental protection.
JSC “Turboatom” and the Japanese Corporation Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of nuclear energy with contribution of SE NNEGC “Eneroatom”. The document was signed in the Energoatom Central Office by Turboatom’s CEO Viktor Subotin as well as by Mr. Goro Yanase, Director, Vice President of Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation in the presence of Energoatom’s president Yurii Nedashkovskyi. The representatives of the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine also participated in the signing of the Memorandum.
Based on an easy and open approach along with the purpose to implement the rights of the citizens and their communities to take part in the decision-making processes related to possible RNPP Unit 3 lifetime extension, the RNPP experts held public discussions in the villages located in the surveillance area.

On November 24, 2017 in the Aarhus Centre of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Ministry of Ecology jointly with SE NNEGC “Energoatom” representatives and with participation of the institutes that develop the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports of Zaporizhzhya NPP and South Ukraine NPP, as well as of independent Ukrainian experts, held transboundary consultations in line with procedures of the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (Espoo Convention) with representatives of interested foreign countries.
